An honest quote for flats, letting stock and family wool
It does not matter which building the rug lives in or who booked the last guest. We inspect it, name a single figure, and that figure holds all the way to the invoice.

Rug washing Kings Beach, on the most built-up half kilometre here
One family name, three different buildings
The King family moved here in 1893, among the first European residents of the district, and Alan King's boarding house appears in the local post office directory by 1900. The suburb formally took the family name in 1925, when the Caloundra Beach Estate was established. What happened next is the part worth noticing. King's Grand Central Guest House, on the corner of Edmund and Burgess Streets, later became the Hotel Perle and later again the Kings Beach Taverna, three quite different buildings and three quite different businesses on one corner, all still carrying the same family's name. Kings Beach sits one kilometre east of Caloundra's CBD and about ninety-three kilometres north of Brisbane, on nought point six square kilometres running from sand level up past forty metres in the northwest, with a rocky headland reaching twenty.
Everything on this headland gets rebuilt eventually. What we can offer is a standard that does not.
The densest half kilometre we collect from
There were 2,788 residents here at the 2016 census and 3,042 in 2021, which on this footprint makes Kings Beach the densest suburb in the whole group by a clear margin. That density is not spread evenly either. It is stacked, climbing the headland behind the beach in medium-density blocks that hold permanent apartments and furnished holiday accommodation side by side, often on the same floor. For a rug washer that produces a genuinely mixed intake from a very small area. One flat sends a wool piece its owner has had since before the block went up. The flat opposite sends a letting rug that has taken a season of guests and needs to be back before the next booking. Neither is treated as the default. Each rug is read on what it is rather than on the address it came from, and the letting owner and the resident get the same straight answer about what is achievable.
Salt with nothing standing in its way
Packing this many households onto beachfront this exposed has a direct consequence for wool. Salt comes off the open sea on every onshore breeze and there is very little between the water and the buildings to soften it. The climb from sand level to over forty metres does less than people expect, because the wind rises with the ground. The flats closest to the water show it first, and pale wool shows it before anything else does, dulling steadily rather than staining. Underneath that, a building holds its own air: corridors and closed flats keep circulating the same salted humidity rather than clearing it. Neither the salt nor the trapped damp can be reached from the top of a pile. A full immersion wash floods the foundation and rinses both out, and the rug is dried flat under controlled conditions before it goes back up in the lift.
Our Sunshine Coast office, and where the rugs are actually washed
Our Sunshine Coast office
Premier Rug Cleaning Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast listing sets out the area our team covers rather than a place to visit with a rug in the boot. The driver comes to the flat, and all of the washing is done at Yatala.
Down from the headland to the bath
The travel is our cost, not yours, and it is already inside the figure you were given. Kings Beach is collected with Shelly Beach and Moffat Beach, and the window is set once the run day is locked.
A guesthouse name, a pavilion and a church above the sand
A headland where the buildings keep changing and the names keep going.
The King family arrived in 1893 and ran one of the district's first boarding houses, and the suburb formally took their name in 1925.
A name that has outlasted three buildings on one corner says something about what a solid foundation is worth, which is exactly the argument for washing a good wool rug properly rather than buying another one.
The King family moved to the area in 1893, among the district's first European residents, and Alan King's boarding house first appears in the local post office directory in 1900. The suburb formally took the King name in 1925 when the Caloundra Beach Estate was established. King's Grand Central Guest House, at the corner of Edmund and Burgess Streets, later became the Hotel Perle and then the Kings Beach Taverna, one family's name carried through three generations of buildings on a single corner.
A substantial bathing pavilion with a kiosk went up on the foreshore in 1937, four years after the local surf club began patrolling.
Infrastructure added once the need was proven rather than rushed in early is the same discipline behind choosing the right wash process for a rug instead of the fastest one available.
The Caloundra surf life-saving club began patrolling here in 1933, and four years later, in 1937, a substantial pavilion with a kiosk and change facilities was built on the foreshore for the growing crowds. Not long afterwards a creek that once ran across the beach was filled in to create parking, reshaping the foreshore into the layout that still governs how the beach is used and approached today.
St Andrew's Anglican Church has stood above the beach since 1939, near an Anzac memorial dedicated in 1948 on the headland.
A headland walk that has joined this suburb's oldest streets to its beach for generations is the sort of fixture people arrange their week around, and a scheduled collection works the same way.
St Andrew's Anglican Church was established on the rise above the beach in 1939 and rebuilt in 1967, standing close to the Anzac memorial dedicated in 1948 at Caloundra Head, known locally as Wickham Point. A walking path now circles the headland itself, climbing from beach level to more than forty metres at the suburb's highest point and linking the parkland along the foreshore to the older streets behind it.

Kings Beach questions, answered plainly
We are three floors up with no lift access to the car park. Is that a problem?
No. The driver comes to the flat door and takes the rug rolled from there, and it comes back the same way. Tell us at booking if there is building access to arrange, a loading bay window or a body corporate rule about the lift, and the run is planned around it rather than discovered on the day.
How is the price for a Kings Beach rug decided?
By the rug, not by the building it lives in. Size, fibre, foundation and condition set the figure. It is worked out at the door once the piece has been seen, collection and return are already inside that figure, and nothing is added later. Where a wash will not repay itself we say so rather than taking the work anyway.
We let the unit out. Can a rug be turned around between bookings?
A good share of our work on this headland is exactly that. The usual door to door time runs to about 7 days. For a tight changeover there is a 48-hour express option at additional cost. Give us the guest arrival date when you book and the collection gets scheduled backwards from it rather than forwards from the phone call.
The dog urinated on the rug in our flat. Can it be fixed?
Usually, and in a unit it gets noticed early, which helps a lot. Urine reaches the backing on the first day and stays there, so anything sprayed on the pile never touches the cause. Immersion clears that layer, an enzyme stage handles the chemistry, and any permanent colour loss is explained at the assessment rather than after the wash.
Do you also collect from Shelly Beach, Moffat Beach and Caloundra?
Yes, along with Dicky Beach and Golden Beach on the same scheduled day. Two flats in one block, or a household with rugs at two addresses, can send everything on a single collection, and each rug after the first is $20 off.
Will a wash fix the dullness in a pale rug near the water?
Usually a good deal of it, because most of what looks like fading on a beachfront floor is salt and fine grit sitting in the base of the pile rather than genuine colour loss. The inspection separates the two for you, and you are told which part is coming back and which part is not before anything is booked.
