Rug Types We Clean
Serving Homes Across Southeast QLD and Northern NSW
Cleaning Every Rug Type for Southeast QLD and Northern NSW Conditions
A rug in a Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Northern NSW home endures challenges that others don’t. The subtropical humidity can foster hidden mould and mildew within dense wool fibres, creating a musty odour that vacuuming won’t remove. Sandy footprints from a weekend at Burleigh Heads or Main Beach can grind away at delicate piles, causing premature wear. We’ve built our process to solve these specific, regional problems.
Our service is not a generic, in-home steam clean. We operate a dedicated rug washing facility where we can fully submerge and meticulously treat each piece, from a modern synthetic rug in a Southport high-rise to a delicate antique in a Toowoomba estate.
Our Process: A Full Immersion Rainwater Wash at Our Yatala Facility
Every rug that comes to our workshop undergoes a multi-stage process designed for maximum soil removal and fibre safety, leveraging our 29 years of industry experience.
Initial Assessment
Every rug is inspected to identify its construction (e.g., hand-knotted, machine-made), fibre type (wool, silk, viscose), dye stability, and pre-existing conditions like pet urine damage or fringe wear.
Dry Soil Removal
Before any water is introduced, we use specialised equipment to remove kilograms of dry, abrasive soil and sand that becomes mud when wet. This step is critical for preventing fibre damage during washing.
Pure Rainwater Immersion
We submerge your rug in tanks of pure, harvested rainwater. Unlike chlorinated and chemically-hardened town water, rainwater provides a gentle yet effective wash that leaves fibres noticeably softer and free of chemical residue.
Targeted Stain Treatment
Specific issues identified during assessment, from red wine spills to pet accidents, are treated by our IICRC-certified technicians using the appropriate solutions for that specific stain and fibre type.
Controlled Drying
Rugs are dried in a climate-controlled environment to ensure they remain flat and to prevent any chance of mould or mildew growth, a critical step given the region's natural humidity.
Final Inspection
Once dry, the pile is groomed and the rug undergoes a final inspection to ensure it meets our standards before being prepared for delivery back to your home.
