The suburb takes its name from the McDowall brothers' pioneering residence Everton, itself named for the Liverpool suburb, and the district's school told the same story in miniature when it opened in 1934 under the area's older name and became Everton Park State School in 1954. This has been family territory for generations, and the evidence is everywhere. The Everton Park Hotel, built in 1975, once kept an actual carousel for the kids, which tells you what kind of suburb it was serving. Teralba Park on the southern edge still fills with half the neighbourhood every Saturday morning. The carousel is long gone, but the family patterns it served are unchanged, and so is the wear they put on floors. Pet Stain and Odour

Rug Dry Cleaning
Low moisture work kept aside for rugs that cannot swim: unstable dyes, aged foundations, fragile antique construction. The compound method, applied by hand a section at a time.

Mould Rug Cleaning

Everton Park's story runs straight down South Pine Road.
Built in 1975, and famous for keeping a carousel for the kids.

John Tucker built the Everton Park Hotel in 1975, and under later owner Ken Talbot it did something almost no suburban pub of its era would consider: it installed a carousel, then a children's playground. Generations of northside families have celebrated birthdays and ended Fridays here, and the hotel still anchors the South Pine Road strip half a century on.

William James and Ambrose McDowall named their pioneering residence Everton after the Liverpool suburb, and the Everton Park Estate carried the name onto Brisbane's map. The local school lived the transition: it opened on 18 June 1934 under the district's older name, became Everton Park State School in 1954 as the new identity took hold, and Everton Park State High School followed in January 1961.

Is a townhouse rug on tiles different to clean than one on timber?

We inherited a wool rug from the 1960s. Can it still be washed safely?
