An 1859 survey map shows a small Chinaman's Creek running into the South Pine River, the name thought to recall a Chinese traveller who died in the district on the way to the goldfields. As anti-Chinese feeling hardened in colonial Queensland, residents petitioned to change it, and Albany Creek was gazetted on 6 June 1885, most likely honouring the Duke of Albany. The suburb states that history plainly today: the name changed with the politics of 1885, and the creek kept flowing regardless.

Usually yes, and we will say plainly if not. Urine residue sits at the base of the pile and in the backing, which is why surface cleaning never beats the smell. Full immersion dissolves and rinses the residue itself, and stubborn cases get repeat treatment before drying.
