Rug washing sized for Warner's open plans
One big rug per big room
Warner is one of the Pine Rivers district's genuine growth stories: 10.6 square kilometres that stayed farmland for over a century until the estates arrived from the mid-1990s, now home to 12,264 people as of the 2021 census. The houses are rendered single and double storey builds with open-plan living on tile and hybrid plank, plus acreage pockets left over from the farm era on the Cashmere side. The furnishing formula is remarkably consistent: one oversized rug anchoring the main living zone, bought big to fit the room, and carrying the entire load of young-family life, kids, dogs, and a back door that opens straight onto a yard. Oversized pieces are awkward to clean anywhere except a purpose-built facility, which is precisely what our Yatala wash floor is.
The biggest thing in a Warner living room that is not furniture is the rug. It works the hardest, too.
Lakes outside, humidity inside
Warner's low ground drains toward the South Pine River, and the estate lakes and wetland corridors that make the suburb so liveable also keep its air noticeably damp through summer. Sealed modern homes trap that humidity indoors, and a large rug spread over tile wicks it up along with the everyday grit of family traffic. The two bind together at the foundation, and within a couple of years the rug reads duller, feels flatter and carries a faint tired note that neither vacuum nor deodoriser addresses, because the problem sits below where either one operates. The rug is not wearing out; it is filling up. The immersion wash at our Yatala facility clears the damp-bound freight from the pile's base, and the finishing dry returns the piece dry all the way through, which a humid estate home cannot achieve for it unassisted.
Built for exactly this kind of household
Everything about the service is shaped for how Warner households actually run. Booking happens online in a spare minute after bedtime. The rolled rug rides out with the driver on the scheduled Pine Rivers day, no lifting or logistics on your side, and both travel legs are part of the arrangement. Multi-rug bookings do well here: the big living-zone piece, the kids' room rugs and the hallway runner travel as a set, and with the big piece leading the booking, each rug behind it is $20 off. About a week later everything is home again, washed by hand, dried right through and groomed, with the written 48-hour guarantee attached. The honest assessment applies at the estate end of the market too: a budget piece near the end of its life gets named as such rather than washed for the fee.

A Warner rug's week at the facility
Warner rides the scheduled Pine Rivers loop with Strathpine and Bray Park, both journey legs travel with the day, and the window firms up the moment the run does.
A surveyor, a farm school and a drive-in that became a suburb
From paddocks to estates inside one generation.
Named for one of the first surveyors to work the Moreton Bay district.
A surveyor's suburb gets a measured service: honest assessment first, an agreed figure, and a hand wash at Yatala delivered exactly as described.
James Warner was among the earliest civilian surveyors in the Moreton Bay settlement, measuring out the district before most of its towns existed, and the farming country west of Strathpine took his name. The suburb kept it through more than a century of paddocks and into the estate era, which makes Warner one of the few boom suburbs whose name predates Queensland itself.
The little school that served Warner's farm families for sixty years.
Warner has always been family country, farm families then and estate families now. Their rugs work hard either way, and our wash is what resets them properly.
Warner State School's building was completed on 7 April 1876 and classes began that June, with 28 children enrolled by December. It taught the district's farm families for two generations, celebrated its golden jubilee on 25 June 1926, and closed around 1939 when the district's numbers thinned. The suburb then waited another half century for its next chapter: the farms it served are now the streets of one of the northside's fastest-grown communities.
The suburb that grew from a drive-in theatre site into lakeside estates.
Lakeside estates pair damp air with big open-plan rugs. Immersion washing with complete controlled drying was built for exactly that combination.
Modern Warner started in 1995, when housing went in on the site of the district's former drive-in theatre, and the pace never slowed. The Warner Lakes estate followed from 2005 with around 1,100 home sites planned around its lakes and wetland corridors, and the water is now the suburb's signature: parks like Frank Nichols Reserve and John Hill Park thread between the estates, and evening walks around the lakes are the local ritual.

Warner questions from the estates
What does it cost to wash an oversized living-room rug in Warner?
Size is one input, with fibre and condition alongside it, all read at inspection before one fixed figure is given. Oversized pieces are standard work at our facility rather than a premium category, and the Pine Rivers loop carries pickup and return as part of the deal.
How do you even transport a rug that takes two people to move?
Rolled, which is how every rug travels with us. The driver rolls and carries it with the right equipment, so you lift nothing. At Yatala the wash floor and drying rooms are sized for exactly these pieces, and it comes home the same way, rolled to your door.
Puppy urine has gone through our big rug more than once. Is it a lost cause?
Very unlikely. Each accident drains to the foundation, which is why sprays never end the smell. The immersion flushes the whole foundation through the backing, enzymes neutralise the accumulated residue, and complete drying removes the humidity trigger. Repeat-accident dye effects are reported at assessment.
Are Strathpine and Bray Park on the same collection day as Warner?
Yes, one scheduled Pine Rivers loop serves the three together with Cashmere. Estate neighbours often book the same day once they spot the van in the street, and any rug added to a neighbourly booking sits $20 off.
Can the rug be back before guests arrive on the weekend?
With enough notice the standard week often lands in time, and when it cannot, the 48-hour express at additional cost gets the same full wash and complete dry done with priority. Tell us the date and we will be straight about which option fits.
Should a new rug from a big retailer be professionally washed at all?
Not immediately, but after two or three years of estate family life, yes, if the rug's quality justifies it. The assessment is honest on that point: decent pieces get years added by a wash, and end-of-life budget rugs get named rather than washed.
