One figure before the rug leaves the house
By August the family rug has taken a full season of boots at the door, kit bags in the hallway and a dog that follows everyone in. Scrubbing at it spreads the problem around. Send the form instead: the driver collects the rolled rug on our Pine Rivers day, it is washed and fully dried at Yatala, and it comes back ready for finals.

Rug Washing Bray Park, Proven Against Winter Seasons
From Strathpine West to a suburb of its own
Bray Park was Strathpine West until 1970, when the paddocks west of the railway got planned estates and a name of their own, honouring John Bray, the shire chairman from 1950 to 1973 who steered the district's growth. Locals took years to come around, and one 1975 street directory still filed these streets under Lawnton, but the suburb grew into itself: brick low-sets and chamferboard homes on flat family blocks, the station in 1986, the high school in 1987. Most of those homes have been renovated since, tiles and floating floors replacing old carpet, which is exactly the moment households buy proper rugs. Premier Rug Cleaning keeps those rugs presentable through everything a Pine Rivers family year throws at them.
Storm-season downpours push moisture inside faster than the air conditioning pulls it out, and the rug quietly holds the difference, along with the season's ground-in grit.
The basin between the river and the hills
The suburb sits in the flat basin between the North Pine River and the D'Aguilar foothills, where summer air arrives humid and stays. A full immersion wash at Yatala shifts trapped soil and moisture in one pass, and complete drying sends it home ready for the floor, not the clothesline.
Saturdays at Les Hughes, and where they end up
The district's sporting week runs through the Les Hughes complex on Francis Road, rugby league, union, baseball, netball and the PCYC sharing one heaving car park, and every winter Saturday there finishes on somebody's rug at home. The suburb's other growth story made the same climb: Genesis Christian College opened in 1991 with thirty-five students in two demountable buildings and built itself into one of the northside's biggest schools without leaving Bray Park. Steady work, year on year, is the local method. Ours matches. The Pine Rivers leg picks up rolled rugs door by door on its scheduled day with Strathpine, Lawnton and Brendale, and each piece is washed by hand at Yatala and returned completely dry.

Where your rug is washed
The name, the college and the grounds
A shire chairman remembered, a school grown from two demountables, and the address where winter Saturdays happen.
Strathpine West until 1970, renamed for the shire's long-serving chairman.
Bray gave the district twenty-three years of steady, unglamorous work, and that is the standard our Yatala facility runs to: the same careful wash, every rug, for 29 years.
When planned estates reached the paddocks west of Strathpine, the district needed its own identity, and in 1970 it was gazetted as Bray Park in honour of John Bray, chairman of the Pine Rivers shire council from 1950 to 1973 and the man who oversaw its postwar urbanisation. Adoption was slow, a 1975 street directory still listed the area as part of Lawnton, but the schools took the name, the railway station opened in 1986 and the high school followed in 1987, and nobody argues about it now.
From 35 students in two demountables to a full P-12 college.
Growth like that comes from doing small things right for a long time. A rug cared for on the same principle, washed properly every year or two, improves with age instead of wearing out.
Genesis Christian College opened in 1991 with thirty-five students across Years 1 to 7, taught in two demountable buildings by founding principal Bob Van Veen and one other teacher while the church went up around them. Secondary classes began in 1998 with thirteen students, the first Year 12 class graduated in 2002, and the college has since grown into one of the north side's biggest independent schools without ever leaving Bray Park.
The Francis Road complex where half of Pine Rivers spends its Saturday.
Every one of those Saturdays walks back inside on boots and paws. Collection from your door on the Pine Rivers day and a full immersion wash at Yatala removes the season instead of redistributing it.
The Les Hughes Sporting Complex at 119 Francis Road packs a district's sporting life into one address: Pine Central's rugby league, the Pine Rivers Pumas rugby union club, the Pine Rivers Rapids baseball diamonds, the district netball association's courts, a PCYC and a fenced dog park at the edges. On a winter Saturday the car park alone tells you how much of Bray Park's week runs through this one gate.

Bray Park's usual questions
Can you get dried mud and clay out of a wool rug?
Yes. Dried mud sinks below the pile surface where vacuums cannot follow, and clay binds to fibre. Immersion washing dissolves and rinses both from the foundation up, which is why the rug feels thicker when it comes back.
We have training three nights a week. How much of our time does this take?
About two minutes for the form and a moment at the door. The rolled rug is collected on the scheduled Pine Rivers day, and it comes back to the same doorstep once it is washed and fully dry. Nobody needs to take a day off.
Is there a discount for sending more than one rug?
Yes, $20 off each rug after the first when they travel together. Sport-season households often put the living room piece and the hall runner on the same pickup and reset the whole floor at once.
What does the 48-hour guarantee actually mean?
If anything about the wash is off, tell us inside 48 hours of the rug reaching you and the second wash costs nothing. It is our answer to the question every new customer fairly asks: what happens if I am not happy?
Do you collect from Warner and Joyner on the same run?
We do. The Pine Rivers leg takes in Bray Park and its neighbours, including Warner, Joyner and Cashmere. Premier Rug Cleaning confirms the day and window once the run is scheduled.
Between the dog and the guinea pigs, the playroom rug has had a hard year. Does urine treatment actually work?
It works when it goes where the urine went. Accidents soak through to the rug's foundation, and surface products cannot follow them down, which is why the odour resurfaces every humid week. Immersion washing works through the whole thickness of the rug and dissolves the residue wherever it settled. Any dye burn that has already happened gets pointed out at assessment, before you commit.
