A single figure for a shopfront or the unit above it
A restaurant rug and a lounge room rug are quoted identically. The piece is opened out, read properly, given one number, and that number is what gets billed.

Rug washing Noosa Junction, on Sunshine Beach Road
What the register actually says
Noosa Junction is not a separately gazetted locality. Every source we could find describes it the same way, as a precinct within Noosa Heads rather than a suburb of its own, and the official list of suburbs and localities for this immediate area recognises only Noosa Heads and Noosaville. There is no separate census population attached to the name, and we are not going to put one on this page. The postcode, 4567, is genuinely shared with Noosa Heads. None of that makes the precinct less real. It has street art, night markets, an unusually varied run of businesses and an identity most locals treat as entirely its own, on Sunshine Beach Road, behind Hastings Street and over Noosa Hill. It simply does not have a boundary, and this is Noosa Shire regardless, a district well to the north of the rest of our coast run.
Everyone here uses a name the register does not carry. Saying so costs nothing and pretending otherwise costs your trust.
Shopfronts below, units above, both on the same run
The rug mix here is unlike the rest of the Noosa district. This is a working commercial strip rather than a residential street, so a large share of what we collect comes out of premises: entrance pieces inside a shop door, wool under a restaurant table, display rugs in a boutique, and matting doing the hardest work of anything on the strip. Above and around those businesses are apartments and units, and the rugs in those live an ordinary domestic life two floors from a footpath that never really empties. A rug walked on by several hundred strangers a week wears in a fundamentally different pattern from one walked on by four people, and the difference sits in the foundation rather than the surface. Both get the same starting point from us, which is a proper look before a price.
Set back from the spray, not from the humidity
Sitting up over Noosa Hill puts the precinct behind the direct salt spray that the beachfront takes, and that genuinely helps. What it does not escape is the river and coast humidity that hangs over this whole district, and a commercial floor adds its own difficulty on top: doors propped open all day, foot traffic bringing sand and street grit in continuously, and stockrooms that stay closed and still for weeks. That combination puts fine abrasive soil deep into a rug while keeping the base of it damp, which is the pairing that produces both a dull-looking piece and a musty one. Full immersion is the only process that reaches into the foundation to remove both, and the controlled drying room afterwards is what stops the damp half coming straight back.

Down off the hill and south to Yatala
That leg is the longest on our map and it never reaches your docket. The Junction is collected with Noosa Heads and Noosaville, and we give you the window once the day's route has been put in order.
A precinct without a boundary, a centre criticised at birth, and a transport hub
A well-known name that the official record files inside somewhere else.
Despite carrying a name everybody uses, Noosa Junction is not a separately gazetted locality. It is the village-style shopping, dining and entertainment precinct at the commercial heart of Noosa Heads itself, on Sunshine Beach Road.
Knowing exactly where a place sits officially, even when everyone calls it something else, is the same kind of precision we apply when we tell you what a rug is genuinely made of.
Street art, night markets and an unusually mixed run of businesses give the precinct an identity distinct enough that most locals and visitors treat it as a place in its own right. The official record still files it inside the Noosa Heads boundary, and there is no separate census count attached to the name.
Noosa Fair, the precinct's drive-in shopping centre, opened in 1987 and drew criticism at the time as a prime example of inappropriate design for the area.
Something that keeps doing its job for decades after a poor first review is worth respecting, and it is roughly what we would say about a plain rug somebody has almost thrown out twice.
It has stayed a working part of the precinct regardless of that reception, alongside The J, Noosa's main entertainment venue. Between them they anchor the commercial identity of the Junction within the wider Noosa Heads locality, whatever anyone thought of the architecture at the time.
Noosa Junction bus station opened in August 2011 at the corner of Sunshine Beach Road and Cooyar Street, and now serves nine bus routes plus long-distance Greyhound and Premier Motor Service coaches.
A precinct connected this thoroughly to the rest of the district is straightforward for our driver to build into the northern leg without anyone waiting around for a truck.
Three bus stands across two side platforms handle Kinetic Sunshine Coast services to Sunshine Plaza, Nambour, Sunrise Beach, Sunshine Beach and Tewantin. That is a genuine transport hub for the whole district, sitting behind a strip most people think of purely as shops and restaurants.

Noosa Junction questions, answered plainly
Is Noosa Junction actually its own suburb?
Not officially, no. It is a precinct inside the gazetted locality of Noosa Heads, sharing the 4567 postcode, and there is no separate population count attached to the name. It is a real place with a real identity, and we would rather tell you that straight than write a page implying a boundary that does not exist.
Do you take commercial rugs from the shops and restaurants?
Yes, and on this strip commercial is a large part of what we collect. Wool from a dining room, boutique display pieces, reception rugs and entrance matting all go through, though matting normally by a different method because of how it is made. Everything is quoted the same way: seen first, one figure, no movement.
Can collection happen outside trading hours?
Collection falls on the scheduled northern run day, and we confirm the window with you once that day's route is in order rather than promising a time before it exists. Tell us where the rug will be and who can meet the driver, and a roller shutter or a locked shopfront is no problem.
The dog urinated on the rug in the unit upstairs. Can it be fixed?
Nearly always. Urine reaches the backing within a day, so surface products are treating the layer above the actual problem, which is why the smell keeps coming back. Immersion carries the deposit out of the weave, enzymes break down what is producing the odour, and any colour change gets explained before we proceed.
Do you collect at Noosa Heads, Noosaville and Sunshine Beach as well?
All three are on the same northern leg, along with Noosa Springs, Tewantin and Castaways Beach. Two tenancies on this strip wanting the same thing in the same week is common, and booking it as one job puts $20 off every rug beyond the first.
How long is a rug out of the shop for?
Around 7 days as standard, most of it drying under control. A 48-hour express option is available at an additional cost when a floor genuinely cannot be bare that long. Say so when you book and the collection is scheduled to suit the date rather than the other way around.
