A fixed figure for a hillside house or a letting apartment
Owner-occupied or managed between guests, the rug is opened out and read on its own merits. The number that comes out of that reading is the number on the invoice.

Rug washing Noosa Heads, on a headland with three names
Three names, and a shire of its own
This headland has been called three things. The Kabi people knew it as Wantima, meaning rising up or climbing up, which describes the ground itself. Early European arrivals called it Bracefield's Head, or Cape Bracefield, after a man rather than a shape. The locality then went by Noosa alone until 1988, when it was formally renamed Noosa Heads. Three eras, three ways of naming one piece of coast. It is worth saying plainly that this is Noosa Shire, a district in its own right more than thirty five kilometres north of Maroochydore, and we treat it that way when we plan a run rather than folding it into the coast further south. The population grew from 4,484 in 2016 to 5,120 in 2021 across thirteen square kilometres.
The visitors change every week. The wool on the floor has been there for fifteen years and nobody has ever looked underneath it.
Specified rugs, and the people who never see them
Noosa Heads is the premium end of everything we service. A large share of the rugs here were selected by a designer, installed by somebody else, and are now looked after by a property manager between bookings, which means the person who rings us often knows nothing about the piece at all. That is fine, and it is exactly why the assessment step is not a formality here. Hastings Street apartments hold newer, softer, more specified rugs than almost anywhere else on our run. Up the hill the architect houses hold better wool, and a number of the long-held homes hold genuinely old pieces that arrived here well before the tourism did. Three different jobs, one honest method, and a straight answer to whoever is paying for it.
Salt on one side, river on the other, park behind
Very few suburbs carry moisture from three directions at once, and this is one of them. The Coral Sea puts salt and fine sand into everything on the eastern and northern sides. Weyba Creek and the Noosa River press humidity in from the west. Noosa National Park holds bushland damp along the northeast corner of the locality, so even a house set well back from the water is sitting in loaded air. A rug drying on a balcony here will simply take on again what the sun has just driven out. Immersion clears salt, sand and trapped moisture out of the foundation in a single process, and the piece then dries flat in a room where we control the conditions rather than the coast doing it. That second half of the job matters more on this headland than anywhere else we collect from, because a rug returned only half dry into air this loaded will not finish the job on its own.

Premier Rug Cleaning Sunshine Coast
Nothing is dropped in to us anywhere on this coast. The Sunshine Coast listing shows the area we service, our own driver comes to the address, and the washing itself is done at Yatala.
Off the headland and a long way south
The northern leg is the longest one we run and we absorb every kilometre of it. Noosa Heads is collected with Noosaville and Sunshine Beach, and your window is confirmed once the day's order is settled.
A headland renamed twice, a street from the 1920s, and a club from 1927
A tourism suburb whose fixed points are all a century old.
The headland was known to the Kabi people as Wantima, meaning rising up or climbing up, then called Bracefield's Head or Cape Bracefield by early European arrivals, before the locality was formally renamed Noosa Heads in 1988.
A place renamed deliberately three times, never carelessly, sets a decent standard for calling things what they are, which is how we prefer to describe a rug's condition.
Each name belongs to a different era and a different way of seeing the same ground: a description of its shape, a surname attached to first contact, and finally a modern name given when the place had become a destination. The renaming in 1988 is recent enough that plenty of residents remember the change.
Hastings Street has anchored the tourism identity of Noosa Heads since beachfront cafes and accommodation first went up in the late 1920s, with visitors already coming to this beach from the 1890s.
A street this busy for this long means constant turnover in the properties along it, and rugs in constant-turnover properties collect more in a year than a family rug does in five.
Boutiques, restaurants and beachfront accommodation now line it, and the walking tracks of Noosa National Park, the Fairy Pools, Tea Tree Bay and Alexandria Beach among them, are close enough to reach on foot. It is a precinct built up steadily across nearly a century rather than developed in one go.
Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club was founded in 1927, and the Noosa Festival of Surfing, a major longboarding event, now brings crowds to the same stretch of water the club has patrolled ever since.
The steady, unglamorous institutions are the ones worth being like. Twenty nine years of washing rugs by hand is the same idea, applied to a much smaller thing.
Serious holiday traffic has come to this beach since well before the Second World War, and the pace of it accelerated in the postwar decades, but the club has been the one continuous presence through all of it. Very little else on this headland has run unbroken for that long.

Noosa Heads questions, answered plainly
We let the house out. Can the property manager arrange it?
Yes, and a good share of what we take off this headland is arranged that way. Give us the manager's contact and the access arrangement when you book, whether that is a lobby, a key safe or somebody meeting the driver. Quotes and reports go to whoever you nominate.
How is the price for a Noosa Heads rug decided?
Piece by piece, from what is actually in front of us. How it is built, how big it is and what state it turns up in produce the figure, and both legs of the travel are already covered by it. Inspection settles it and it stays settled. Where a rug is past helping, we say so instead of sending an invoice.
There is a changeover on Saturday. How fast can this happen?
Standard turnaround is about 7 days, and a 48-hour express option is available at an additional cost when a booking gap is genuinely tight. Give us the changeover date at the start and the collection is planned backwards from it rather than squeezed in afterwards.
The dog urinated on the good wool rug. Is it recoverable?
Usually. Urine reaches the backing on the first day, so anything applied to the surface is working on the wrong layer, which is why the smell keeps coming back in humid weather. Full immersion carries the deposit out of the weave, enzymes settle the chemistry beneath it, and any colour change is explained beforehand.
Do you also collect at Noosaville, Sunshine Beach and Tewantin?
All three are on the same northern leg, along with Noosa Junction, Noosa Springs and Castaways Beach. If you have a rug at home and another at a letting property nearby, put them on one collection, and each rug past the first has $20 off.
The rug is silk-blend and expensive. Do you handle those?
Yes, and carefully. Silk and viscose blends are the pieces most often damaged by generic cleaning, because they behave nothing like wool in water. The fibre is identified before anything else happens, and if immersion is not safe for a particular piece we go the low moisture route and tell you why.
