Pet Stain and Odour
The family dog and the family rug share a house, and sooner or later the rug loses a round. The accident sinks straight to the foundation, past every product a supermarket shelf has to offer.
Depth is the whole problem, so depth is the whole treatment. The immersion bath flushes the foundation clean through the backing, an enzyme pass neutralises the residue left behind, and a finished dry deletes the humidity trigger that bayside summers would otherwise keep supplying.

Rug Steam Cleaning
Hot water extraction serves the household's synthetics: the back-deck runner, the kids' floor piece, the practical rug by the laundry door. It is used only where the construction invites it and refused everywhere else.
Steam pays its way on machine made rugs and is banned near hand knotted wool or silk, so the assessment rules on each piece before anything happens. When we redirect a rug to the bath, the reasons arrive well ahead of the invoice.

Rug Dry Cleaning
Low moisture cleaning is reserved for the genuinely fragile: dyes that fail the water test, foundations gone brittle over the decades, old repairs that would not survive a soak in any bath.
When the tests say no water, we take the instruction seriously. Compound cleaning then moves through the rug in measured panels inside its limits, run by the identical crew to the identical bar as the bath, and the method is always chosen on evidence rather than convenience.

Water Damage Restoration
A king tide of a storm, a burst flexi hose, a blocked gutter over the sleepout: soaked rugs survive these things surprisingly often, provided the right steps happen quickly and in the correct order.

Mould Rug Cleaning
Grey bloom on a stored rug, a musty stripe under the sideboard that never moves: the surface growth is the warning flag rather than the problem itself. The colony's roots sit down in the foundation.

Sandgate ran its own affairs for 45 years: proclaimed a borough on 29 April 1880, raised to the Town of Sandgate on 31 March 1903, and only absorbed into Greater Brisbane in October 1925. The 1911 Town Hall is that era's survivor, still hosting markets, concerts and civic life more than a century on, restored for its centenary in 2011. It is the building that explains the suburb: Sandgate thinks of itself as a town because it formally was one.

The Victorian and Federation streetscapes that survived that era make Sandgate one of Brisbane's most intact heritage suburbs, and Sandgate State School, open since 15 September 1873, has taught through the entire story.

Is a musty smell in an old rug a sign it should be retired?
