Regents Park covers 4.76 square kilometres about 33 kilometres south of the city centre, inside Logan City and ringed by parkland, and 11,103 people lived here at the 2021 census. It was carved out of Browns Plains and subdivided for housing in 1974, and it very nearly went onto the map under another name: the first proposal was Emerald Hills, and the land developer put Regents Park forward instead. Half a century on it is one of the more settled corners of the Browns Plains cluster, with eight parks threaded between its streets. Settled suburbs are good news for our trade. Mould Rug Cleaning

The 1986 school took its name from an Aboriginal word for this district.

Yugumbir State School opened on 28 January 1986 as the suburb's first state school, and its name is an Aboriginal word for the district, one of the few reminders in these estate streets of what the country was called long before the subdivision plans were drawn. Regents Park State School followed on 1 January 1994 as the estates kept filling.
The Catholic school opened in 1982, four years ahead of the state school.

St Bernardine's Catholic School opened on 27 January 1982, which makes it the first of the three schools now operating in Regents Park by their recorded opening dates. A full bath washes that layer clear and an enzyme treatment neutralises what remains. If the dye has moved you are told at the inspection, before any money changes hands.
