A quote you can hold us to, in writing
On a fixed income, a vague quote is a trap, so ours is not vague. The driver assesses the rug at your door, names one figure based on size, fibre and condition, and that figure is what you pay. If the rug is not worth the spend, we say that too, and you keep your money.

Rug Washing Bellara Retirees Can Rely On
The front-door suburb and its downsized treasures
Bellara is Bribie Island's front door, the first streets you reach coming across from Sandstone Point, facing the mainland over the Pumicestone Passage. The name comes from an Aboriginal word understood to mean resting place, which suits a suburb where most residents came specifically to stop rushing. The housing built up through the 1970s to 1990s in brick low-sets and beach units, with older fibro holiday houses between them and townhouse villages for the retirement market. It is a downsizer's suburb at heart, so a modest home here often holds a wool or Persian rug worth more than everything else in the room, and Premier Rug Cleaning treats it accordingly.
A vacuum cannot reach any of it.
The passage breeze and the slow work of salt
Facing the passage means the daily salt breeze without the ocean's scouring wind, and that mild, damp, salty air is gentle on people while working steadily against rug fibre. Salt drawn into the pile holds moisture there, colours slowly lose their depth and wool goes flat underfoot. Immersion washing at Yatala rinses the whole salt load out of the fibre, and the piece travels home dry to the core on the returning island run.
Straight answers, the Benabrow Avenue way
Bellara runs the island's working centre. Benabrow Avenue carries the shopping town, the medical rooms and the volunteer-run visitor centre where day-trippers get pointed at beaches and locals get straight answers. We hold ourselves to the strip's standard. The rug is assessed before the figure is set, the figure the driver gives at the door is the figure on the invoice, and if a piece is not worth the cost of washing, the assessment says so first. Collection is free on the scheduled island run, with your window confirmed once that day is locked in, and every rug is hand washed at Yatala, never rinsed in a van.

Where your rug is washed
Three corners of Bellara
The calm beach, the local pub and the strip that serves the whole island.
The calm passage beach where the island swims, fishes and launches.
Beach sand comes home in towels, dog coats and bare feet, and it sinks straight to the base of a rug where vacuums cannot follow. Immersion washing at Yatala releases it from the foundation, not just the surface.
Sylvan Beach is Bellara's waterfront, a sheltered stretch on the Pumicestone Passage where the water stays flat enough for small kids, kayaks and tinnies while the surf pounds the far side of the island. The esplanade behind it carries the picnic shelters, the boat ramp traffic and the morning walkers, with the mainland close enough across the channel that you can watch the traffic you moved here to escape.
The island's pub, on the esplanade at Sylvan Beach.
A good local earns its regulars by doing the basics right every visit. Same trade we are in: honest assessment, a proper wash, complete drying, and the rug back at your door on the scheduled run.
The Bribie Island Hotel at 29 Sylvan Beach Esplanade is the island's local in the full sense: bistro, beer garden, sports bar, accommodation rooms and a kids' playground big enough to buy parents a full main course. Renovated in recent years, it holds down the social end of Bellara's waterfront and fills with mainland visitors every school holidays, which is as busy as Bellara ever agrees to get.
The island's shopping and services strip, and its official welcome desk.
The visitor centre's volunteers are known for straight answers, and that is our policy too. If a rug is not worth the cost of washing, our assessment says so before a dollar changes hands.
Benabrow Avenue carries Bellara's working centre, the Bribie Island Shopping Town with its supermarket, medical rooms and specialty shops, and the volunteer-run Bribie Island Visitor Information Centre where day-trippers get pointed at beaches and locals drop in for what's-on. Because Bellara sits at the island's entrance, this strip serves all four island suburbs, making it the closest thing Bribie has to a main street.

Questions from the front door of Bribie
Is the price the driver gives the price we pay?
Yes. It is set at the door on size, fibre and condition, before the rug leaves your house, and it does not change at the facility. No surprises on delivery is the whole point of quoting that way.
Does the second rug really come off twenty dollars?
It does, and so do the third and fourth. The discount applies to every rug on the booking except the first, $20 apiece, which is why couples usually send the lounge rug and the bedroom rugs together.
Will you collect from a townhouse village with a gate code?
Yes. Put the code or the entry instructions on the booking form and the driver follows them. We collect from villages across the island, and the rolled rug at your own front door is all we need from you.
Are Bongaree and Banksia Beach on the same island visit?
They are. One scheduled run covers all three suburbs, which keeps the island trip efficient and collection free. Your window is confirmed once the day's schedule is settled.
Our wool rug feels flat and limp. Is it worn out?
Often it is salt, not wear. Salt-laden pile holds moisture and collapses underfoot, and once it is flushed out in full immersion the wool stands back up. If the rug genuinely is worn out, the assessment says so honestly and you decide from there.
A grandchild's puppy had an accident on the Persian. Is the smell permanent?
No, but the treatment has to reach where the urine went, which is the foundation of the rug rather than the pile you can touch. Sprays mask it for a week. The Yatala bath draws the residue out through the backing, and the smell does not come back. If the dye has taken damage, you hear it at assessment, not after payment.
