Rug specialists, not carpet cleaners

You want a straight price, not a guess that changes at pickup

You can see the rug needs help. The high-traffic lanes have gone dull, flat and almost sticky, a rug that used to be plush and vibrant just looks tired, and maybe there is a stale rolled-up storage smell on top. What you cannot find is a straight answer on what it costs. Most cleaners hide their pricing, so you are left guessing whether a synthetic machine made rug is even worth cleaning, half-expecting the number to creep up once they have your rug in the van. You do not want a sales pitch. You want the size, the fibre and the condition assessed, an honest figure in front of you, and the chance to say yes or no before anyone touches it.

The risk

A carpet cleaner with a van can ruin a fine rug

One-size-fits-all carpet machines are the number one cause of rug damage. Here is exactly what goes wrong.

The bait-and-stack invoiceA tempting headline rate gets you in the door, then deodorising, stain treatment and a fibre surcharge get stacked on at the end. The job you thought was cheap arrives as an invoice you never agreed to.
The cheap clean that damages the rugA bargain price often means a rushed carpet-style steam over a glued, layered machine made rug. Oversaturating the latex backing loosens the layers, traps a sour smell and warps the rug, so you pay to make it worse.
Paying more than the rug is worthWithout an honest assessment you can sink real money into a synthetic rug that was past saving, or get talked up to heirloom rates for a rug that simply does not need them. Either way you overpay.
The quote that changes at pickupA figure agreed over the phone quietly becomes a bigger one once the rug is collected and you are committed. A price that moves after you have handed the rug over is no price at all.

Don't risk a one-size-fits-all clean on a rug you love

“The machine-made rug looked okay, but you could feel the sand in the pile. We put it straight back down when it was returned. It was a calm, practical service rather than a sales pitch.”

Real wash, our facility
The Premier difference

Specialist care, not a quick spray

Your rug is collected and brought to our dedicated washing facility, where it is hand-assessed and cleaned by fibre, then dried under control. A deep, safe clean that protects the rug you love, backed by 29 years and a 7-day free re-wash guarantee.

Why Premier

Built to protect your rug

Priced by size, fibre and condition, not a vague flat rate

A small synthetic runner and a big tufted lounge rug are different jobs, so we quote on your actual rug after a free inspection. With 29 years and IICRC certification behind the assessment, you get a figure that fits the rug you own, not a one-size guess.

Free pickup and delivery, no add-ons at the door

No wrestling a heavy, awkward rug into the car. Our vans visit Northern NSW on set days each week, collect from your door and return it, with pickup and delivery genuinely free and no distance surcharge. Your rug is tagged and tracked as yours from collection to return.

You approve the price before any work begins

We inspect, dye-test and colour-fastness check, then give you a clear price up front and an honest verdict on whether the rug is worth cleaning or genuinely past saving. Nothing happens until you say yes, and the figure you approve is the figure you pay.

$20 off every additional rug, real specialist process

Bring more than one and save $20 on each additional rug in the same booking. Every rug gets the full hand-wash by immersion at Yatala with controlled drying, never blasted like a carpet, non-toxic and pet and child safe, with a 7-day free re-wash guarantee.

Pet smell finally gone for our woven rug
Our dog had one accident on the woven rug, but it was enough to make the whole room smell off. Premier treated it properly and the odour is gone. We are in Kearneys Spring, so having it collected made the job much easier. I liked that the advice was honest before the work started.

Good to know

Common questions

How much does it cost to wash an 8x10 rug, and is it worth it for a cheap machine made rug?

We quote by the size, fibre and condition of your actual rug rather than posting a flat 8x10 figure, because a worn synthetic and a dense tufted rug of the same size are different jobs. The free inspection gives you that exact price up front. On worth: many machine made rugs cost more to replace than to clean, but if yours is genuinely past saving we will tell you straight. Bring more than one and you save $20 on each additional rug.

How do I wash a machine made rug, and can I just do it myself?

Honestly, we would not at home. A machine made rug is a glued, layered construction with a latex backing, and flooding it in the driveway oversaturates that backing, loosens the layers and traps a sour, musty smell, which is the single biggest cause of the damage we see. We dye-test, then full immersion hand-wash at our Yatala facility and dry under control, so soil is flushed right out, not driven deeper.

Can a laundromat wash an 8x10 rug?

A laundromat machine is built for clothing and linen, not for a large, glued, layered rug, and forcing one through can tumble the backing apart and leave the foundation soaked with nowhere to dry properly. That is how rugs come out warped and smelling worse. Our process is the opposite: a flat, full immersion hand-wash that supports the whole rug, then controlled drying off the floor so no moisture sits where mildew breeds. We collect and return it for you, free.

What is the best way to deep clean a rug?

Full immersion, not surface steaming. Home steamers and hired carpet units only wet the pile, and people on Aussie forums are blunt that those hire machines are cheaply made and a waste of money. Cleaning one patch usually just reveals the whole rug is dirtier than it looked. We submerge the rug, flush ground-in grit and odour right out of the foundation, then dry it fully and under control. That is what restores a dull, flat rug rather than skimming the top.

Do you really come to Northern NSW, and will the price change once you collect it?

Yes, Northern NSW is part of our service area alongside South East QLD, and our vans visit on set days each week, so there is no distance surcharge and pickup and delivery are genuinely free. The price you approve after the free inspection is the price you pay, with no add-ons at the door. Your rug is tagged and tracked as yours, we are fully insured, turnaround is about 7 days with a 48-hour option on request, and Australian Consumer Law applies on top of our 7-day free re-wash.
